Yasodhara Ashram

Yasodhara Ashram is a yoga retreat and study centre on Kootenay Lake in the scenic mountains of Kootenay Bay, British Columbia, Canada. Founded in 1963 by Swami Sivananda Radha, the Ashram is a vibrant and enduring spiritual community. We welcome individuals of all ages and backgrounds to engage in self-development and explore the transformative power of yoga.

Our extensive range of year-round programs includes:

• 5-day Guided Retreats
• Self-guided Restorative Retreats
• Two 12-day Yoga Journeys
• Three-month intensive Yoga Development Course
• Two-month Karma Yoga (selfless service) Program 

By integrating yoga practices with personal development techniques, our courses provide students with tools to support their emotional, psychological and spiritual growth.

Each retreat or course features daily morning Hatha classes, morning and afternoon workshops, group activities, and time for personal reflection. Participants are also encouraged to join in Karma Yoga with our community and attend evening satsangs.
